Compression moulds

In compression moulding the preformed material (rubber or silicone) is loaded into the cavities of an open mould. As the press closes, the material is compressed and fills the cavity through the combained action of pressure and heat. This type of mould is particularly suitable for low-volume production runs and prototyping, as well as for components with relatively simple geometries or incorporating inserts made form different materials.
